As a woman of color with African-American friends and family member, I've noticed growing up in a rural area the unfair treatment and ignorance minorities have faced in my community. I created Be The Bridge with the hope of educating and bettering my community.

WHAT EXACTLY IS IN THE SIMULATION?
During your Be The Bridge Virtual Experience, you will be using Virtual Reality headsets. While participating in the program, you will be viewing racially charged scenarios, in first person. The experience is designed to invoke emotions and conversations.
HOW LONG IS THE EXPERIENCE?
The Virtual Experience will be no longer than ten minutes. After the initial viewing, a group discussion and debriefing will take place to really encapsulate the message of our mission.
HOW DOES THIS EVEN RELATE TO RACIAL INEQUALITY?
At Be The Bridge, our vision is to open minds, educate, and pave the path for equality in our community. This experience is designed to put yourself in someone else's shoes. Not only will you feel better because you took the time to educate yourself, you will be making our community a better place by lessening ignorance.
